How to walk in impossible heels

Walking in heel-less shoes may look impossible, but if you first follow my rules, you will be able to balance perfectly. Posture is the most important thing, and once you’ve learnt to walk in high heels then it shouldn’t matter if you remove the heel altogether - you will still manage to look elegant. Here’s how to walk in invisible heels without looking as though you’re ploughing a field.

Posture
It’s all about posture, from the very top of your head. It would be so nice if girls could put their heads up and not sink their chins into their chest. Follow your mother’s advice and pull your shoulders back so your chest comes forward - otherwise you’ll fall off your shoes.
If you slump your shoulders forward then you look as though someone’s given you a pair of shoes but you’ve no idea how to walk - it looks as though you’re clomping down the street in underwater flippers. Hips and pelvis should be ever so slightly forward and the bottom tucked under.

Feet
If you want to look elegant, you can’t walk pigeon-toed. We all know that people with their toes turned in have no confidence - they look as though they’re hiding in a little hole. Girls should mimic ballet dancers and stand with their feet turned out, which helps you look statuesque.

Balance
Always walk with your weight on your back leg. So if you’re standing with your left leg back, your balance should go straight down the spine and with all your weight on your left leg. If you put your weight forward, it looks like you’re falling off and can’t balance. Girls could stand as long as they liked as long as they had their weight on the back leg.

Steps
To move forward, you should squeeze your bottom and lift the back foot off the ground. As soon as you’ve raised your back foot, bend the knee while keeping the front leg straight and tipping back your shoulders. This will give you a graceful stature while walking, instead of looking as if you’re going to jump over a mountain. The red carpet girls put their feet down flat-footed because they’re afraid of falling off, so keep your weight leaning back and brush your ankles together as you move your back leg forward.
Once you take that step, the weight now moves onto the other leg, which has become the back leg - though the transference is very gently done. The distance between your heel (or where your heel would be) and your back toe should be half the length of your foot. It’s very technical, but girls today look so daft when they take very long strides and trip over. This technique is very good for your spine, and will make you look elegant.

Arms
If you’re in control of your footwork, somehow your arms seem to relax and go with the flow of your body. Clutch bags should remain in the hand - it looks a bit coy if you clutch a bag in front of you, like a prop.

Advanced heel etiquette
Only risk dancing if you’re confident you can manage it. Your shoulders should be back and your bottom tucked under at all times.
And some surfaces will always be a bit difficult. The same is true in invisible heels. It won't be easy at first and you have to be very careful, but once you've learnt to walk in high heels properly you'll be able to manage the invisible heels. And it's so important to walk properly - otherwise there’s no point in owning fashionable shoes at all.

Hope you enjoyed the post :)
